Margarita Cossuto, PhD

Margarita Cossuto, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly 20 years of combined experience in developmental and clinical psychology. She earned her doctorate in Applied Developmental Psychology from Fordham University and later respecialized in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University. Her clinical training includes completing an internship at Geisinger Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship at a private practice in Connecticut.


Dr. Cossuto specializes in behavioral sleep medicine and cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I). She is passionate about helping individuals improve their sleep and overall well-being through evidence-based, compassionate care. Her clinical interests focus on the intersection of sleep, anxiety, chronic pain, and related health concerns, recognizing that these issues often overlap and influence one another. She works collaboratively with clients to identify patterns that disrupt rest, reduce unhelpful cycles of worry, and establish healthy sleep routines that support both mind and body.


Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Cossuto provides culturally responsive care to a diverse range of clients. She is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), American Psychological Association (APA), and American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). Dr. Cossuto is licensed in Connecticut and New York and offers telehealth services to clients in PSYPACT-participating states. She is currently pursuing board certification in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (DBSM) and is dedicated to helping individuals restore restorative, meaningful sleep as a foundation for thriving health and well-being.
