Trouble sleeping is incredibly common, and aside from “I can’t sleep,” a popular complaint we hear is, “My mind won’t stop racing.”

We know Mindfulness has lots of benefits, but it can be hard to sort through all the hype and information to see how it can benefit you and your specific problem. It seems like Mindfulness should help sleep, but how do you put it all together?

Enter Mindfulness-Based Treatment for Insomnia, or MBTI. Based on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction – and who doesn’t need more stress reduction? – MBTI will give you the skills you need to get better sleep.

Yes, this will work even if you’ve tried meditating and haven’t found it useful or if you feel like you’re not good at it.

What does it look like?

Group treatment of eight 90-120 minute sessions led by a sleep psychologist

Learning and practicing skills in session

Homework (sleep diaries, Mindfulness practices) between sessions

Talking about where you’re getting stuck and where you need to tweak what you’ve been doing

What is the cost?

$110 for the 30-minute intake session with the sleep psychologist and $55 per group session (total $550)

$500 (save $50!) if you pay everything up front.

Regarding insurance, we are in network for Aetna, Blue Cross/Anthem PPO (not POS or HMO), and Tricare insurances. If you have any of these plans, please call us at 404-378-0441 to see whether part of this may be covered for you.

When and where will the sessions be held?

Our first set of groups will start Monday, May 6 and will occur every Monday through July 1 with the following exceptions:

Due to Memorial Day on May 27, that week’s session will be held on Wednesday, MAY 29.

There will be no session on JUNE 10 (therapist at a conference)

Sessions will be held from 6:30 to 8:00-8:30 (depending on content) at the following address:
